Indians living in USA, the big battle of vote, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) election has concluded. The election recorded 45% of voting on polling day 02-02-2016. There are total 150 ward in GHMC.In the Elections of GHMC held in 2009, Indian National Congress (INC) secured 52 seats, Telugu Desam Party(TDP) won 45 whereas All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen(AIMIM) won 43 and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 5. Remaining 4 seats went to Praja Rajyam Party PRP and other parties including independent candidates. AIMIM along with Congress formed the coalition government in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections of 2009.The GHMC 2016 election has become a hot topic among political circles as well as common household of Telengana and Andhra Pradesh. This is the first GHMC election after the bifurcation of the states. This will be the litmus test for all the parties. After the Telegana State assembly election, all the parties have worked very hard to attract voters with rallies and banners in all the wards.This year the exit poll indicates a different scenario.

This year the major party emerging as winner is the TRS. The exit poll predicts that this year TRS(Telangana Rashtra Samithi) which is the ruling party of Telengana, will win about 75-85 seats emerging as the clear majority.
